(Amore Guest-Project)
WHAT YOU DON'T SEE
July 23 – August 1st, 26
Opening: Thu 23 July 26, 7 pm
The project WHAT YOU DON’T SEE makes everyday moments visible and audible, moments in which experiences of diaspora, being in-between and Blackness come together. The work focuses on seemingly unremarkable everyday situations and encounters in public spaces, exploring how a sense of community and belonging emerges for non-white people, which factors trigger this feeling, and how this contributes to the general well-being of non-white people within a predominantly white society.
The audiovisual installation archives and shares the moments and situations captured during the process. Through collaborative work, a tapestry of multi-perspective experiences emerges.
Gabriella Smart: Sound, Concept/Ideation
Glenn Asumadu: Videos/Stills, Scenography
Sebastian Gebhart: Graphics, Publication
Saskia Bryner: Text, Research
Anton Kiefer: Mastering
and the people that surround us
Translations:
